From Duke Hospital:
When leaving the hospital, turn left (west)
on Erwin Road. Stay on Erwin until it dead-ends
at Cameron Boulevard (751). Turn left on Cameron
and proceed to the fifth stoplight. That will
be Pickett Road. A good landmark to look for
at Pickett is a small green sign reading "Durham
Academy Upper School." Turn right on Pickett.
Caring House is the first driveway on the left.
From Raleigh/Durham
Airport:
From Airport Blvd., get on I-40 West. Proceed
to highway 15-501 and take 15-501 North.
Stay on 15-501 North for between 2 and 3
miles until you get to 15-501 business. Take 15-501
business to Tower Road (you will see a tall office
tower) Turn left on Tower, which, after two blocks,
will dead end at Pickett Road. Turn right
on Pickett. Caring House will be about a mile ahead
on the right, just beyond the Forest at Duke Retirement
Community.
From Interstate 40 East and West:
Take the 15-501 North exit towards Durham.
Stay on 15-501 North for between 2 and
3 miles until you get to 15-501 business.
Take 15-501 business to Tower Road (you
will see a tall office tower) Turn left
on Tower, which, after two blocks, will dead
end at Pickett Road. Turn right on Pickett.
Caring House will be about a mile ahead on the
right, just beyond the Forest at Duke Retirement
Community.
From I-85 South:
From I-85 South
Merge right onto 15-501 just after the Hillandale
Road exit in Durham. Take the exit for Highway
751 and turn left on 751. Go to the 7th stoplight
on 751. This will be Pickett Road. Turn right on
Pickett. Caring House is the first building/driveway
on the left.
From I-85 North:
Take the exit for Highway 751 shortly after
you pass Hillsborough, NC. After you have exited,
you must make a right turn to stay on 751. Then
follow 751 through Duke Forest. Shortly
after you get to a roundabout, you must start
counting stoplights. At the seventh stoplight
turn right onto Pickett Road. Caring House is
the first building/driveway on the left.
